Recently released on June 27, Season 3 of <Squid Game> is a drama that depicts the process of 456 participants risking their lives in a survival game to win a prize of 45.6 billion won. Led by Lee Jung-jae's character Seong Gi-hun, various characters engage in different games, portraying a range of human experiences, and gained popularity worldwide after the first season was released in 2021. Following this, Season 2 was released on December 26, 2024, and Season 3 on June 27, 2025, concluding the epic saga.

After its release on June 27, <Squid Game> showcased its strength by ranking in the popularity charts of all countries, not only for the new season but also for previous seasons. According to the Netflix TOP 10 tracking site 'Tudum' on July 9, <Squid Game> Season 3 recorded approximately 46.3 million views from June 30 to July 6, maintaining the number 1 spot for two consecutive weeks in all 93 countries that track the TOP 10. Following the record of being the first work to achieve number 1 in all countries in its opening week, it reached the third place in Netflix's all-time most popular series (non-English) just ten days after its release.

With the release of Season 3, previous seasons also experienced a renewed 'binge-watching' effect. Season 1 recorded 3.8 million views, while Season 2 recorded 4.9 million views, ranking third and second respectively in the weekly TOP 10.

After concluding Seong Gi-hun's narrative with Season 3, it is reported that a Hollywood version set in the United States is currently in production.
