Recently released on June 27, Season 3 of <Squid Game> is a drama that depicts the process of 456 participants risking their lives in a survival game to win a prize of 45.6 billion won. Led by Lee Jung-jae's character Seong Gi-hun, various characters engage in different games, portraying a range of human figures, gaining popularity worldwide since the first season premiered in 2021. Following this, Season 2 was released on December 26, 2024, and Season 3 on June 27, 2025, concluding the epic saga.

After its release on June 27, <Squid Game> showcased its strength by ranking in popularity not only for the new season but also for previous seasons across countries. According to Netflix TOP 10 tracking site 'Tudum' on July 9, <Squid Game> Season 3 recorded approximately 46.3 million views from June 30 to July 6, maintaining the #1 spot for two consecutive weeks in all 93 countries that track the TOP 10. Following the record of being the first work to achieve #1 in all countries in its opening week, it rose to the 3rd place in Netflix's all-time most popular series (non-English) just 10 days after its release.

With the release of Season 3, previous seasons also gained a renewed 'binge-watching' effect. Season 1 recorded 3.8 million views, while Season 2 recorded 4.9 million views, ranking 3rd and 2nd respectively in the weekly TOP 10.

<Squid Game> is said to be concluding Seong Gi-hun's narrative with Season 3, and a Hollywood version set in the United States is currently in production.
