Kang Daniel to Enlist in the Army on February 9... Considering Participation in Wanna One Reality Show

Singer Kang Daniel will enlist as an active-duty soldier on February 9, according to an official statement from his agency, ARA, on the 14th.

Kang Daniel had previously hinted at his military enlistment plans during a press conference celebrating the release of his sixth mini-album last June, stating, "I want to show my fans as much as I can as a singer before enlisting."

Last month, he held his last fan concert before enlistment at the KBS Arena in Seoul, spending meaningful time with fans he has been with for a long time.

Kang Daniel, who ranked first in the final of the Mnet audition program 〈Produce 101 Season 2〉 and debuted as Wanna One in August of the same year, has established himself as a representative K-pop artist with outstanding achievements in both group and solo activities.

Meanwhile, Wanna One is set to reunite through a new reality program from Mnet in the first half of this year. Kang Daniel is reportedly considering partial participation in the early recording of the program before his enlistment.
