The Netflix series 〈Boyfriend on Demand〉 successfully held its production presentation today (26th), capturing the attention of global fans.
Set to premiere on March 6th (Friday) at 5 PM, 〈Boyfriend on Demand〉 is a romantic comedy that realizes the fantasy of a webtoon PD, Mirae (Jisoo), who is exhausted from reality and subscribes to experience love through a virtual dating simulation.
At the production presentation, Jisoo spoke about the fresh concept of a 'virtual dating subscription service', stating, "The idea of virtual reality didn't feel like a distant future." She introduced her character, 'Mirae', saying, "After failing in love and getting hurt, she lives as a 'Pro Reality Worker' focused only on work," and emphasized that "the struggles and growth of Mirae will resonate with friends of my age," highlighting the character's realistic charm.
In particular, Jisoo showed enthusiasm by wearing an impressive 250 outfits tailored to various themes in the virtual reality setting. She expressed, "It felt like truly experiencing virtual reality, as the jobs changed with each situation, allowing for deeper immersion," and confidently stated, "There are various themes and appearances, so it will be fun to watch," hinting at a 'dopamine explosion' romance.
With chemistry alongside co-star Seo In-guk, as well as a glamorous lineup of special appearances including Seo Kang-joon and Lee Soo-hyuk, 〈Boyfriend on Demand〉 will be available exclusively on Netflix for viewers worldwide, including Korea, on March 6th at 5 PM.
