Actor Chae Won-bin will take on the romantic comedy genre for the first time since her debut through the upcoming SBS new Wednesday-Thursday drama 〈Sold Out On You〉, which airs its first episode on April 22.
〈Sold Out On You〉 is a romance story in which the perfectionist farmer “Matthew Lee” (Ahn Hyo-seop) and the sellout-driven show host “Dam Ye-jin” (Chae Won-bin) become intertwined. After appearing in previous works such as 〈The Betrayer Who Feels So Close and Intimate〉, Chae Won-bin now steps into the role of Dam Ye-jin, the ace show host who records sellouts on every broadcast.
Describing her character, Chae Won-bin said, “Dam Ye-jin is truly a lovable yet bittersweet person, and she’s like an unbreakable person who never gives up.” She added, “Because it’s a challenge in a new genre, I felt tense, but I prepared hard with an excited heart.” She also shared details of her preparation process to portray a professional occupation. Chae Won-bin said she visited real show hosts’ broadcast studios in person and explained, “It’s not just about memorizing a set script. I realized it’s a job where you have to process so much—like presenting the live broadcast based on what you’ve learned, finding your way through it, and responding to real-time comments. I paid close attention so I could show that naturally.”
Featuring Chae Won-bin’s fresh acting transformation, SBS’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama 〈Sold Out On You〉 will premiere on Wednesday, April 22, at 9:00 PM.
