South American rhythms meet virtuosic technique, breaking down genre boundaries

Latin music band 'Latin Kitchen Luna', known for its distinctive South American rhythms, released a new single, 'Paganini' (PAGANINI), on the 12th in collaboration with 'Danny Koo', a young master violinist in the classical music world.

The new release comes about 11 months after the group's debut full-length album, 'LaKiLu' (LaKiLu), won praise from audiences and critics last November. Private Curve, the band's agency, said the collaboration represents a new musical effort to break down the boundaries between classical and Latin music.

The new single 'Paganini' completely reinterprets 'Caprice No. 24,' a signature work by legendary violinist and composer Niccolò Paganini, through the musical language of Latin music. The piece combines the original's demanding technique and dazzling melodies with the dynamic percussion rhythms distinctive to Latin America, including Mexico, Brazil and Cuba, creating a fresh listening experience.

'Latin Kitchen Luna' is a project group formed last year around Koh Sang-ji, one of South Korea's leading bandoneonists, and jazz pianist Choi Moon-seok, known for his refined musicianship. The group has established its own niche by shaping traditional Latin music with its distinctive, polished sound.

The addition of violin melodies from 'Danny Koo,' who has built broad public recognition through his signature sensitivity and exceptional technique, has taken the song's finish to another level. Reviewers say the bandoneon's plaintive tone, the freedom of jazz piano and the precision of classical violin combine to produce explosive synergy.
