MBC Launches ‘Omniscient Obsession’… Fans’ World Opens Nov. 8

Expanding the ‘Omniscient Interfering View’ universe, a vivid chronicle of people devoted to one pursuit

MBC's flagship variety show ‘Omniscient Interfering View’ (hereafter ‘OIV’) is building a new universe. MBC officially announced that ‘Omniscient Obsession’, a ‘spin-off’ that moves beyond the original format of observing celebrities’ daily lives to spotlight people deeply devoted to a particular field, will premiere on Nov. 8.

The program takes an in-depth look at people known as enthusiasts who have carved out their own distinctive niches. It will capture, unfiltered, the passion and vivid everyday lives of people who live with an intense fixation on something, offering viewers a fresh perspective and a deeper sense of connection.

The lineup of hosts is also drawing attention. Broadcaster Jun Hyun-moo, a longtime anchor of ‘OIV’, will serve as the main host, carrying on the program’s identity. Joining him are Kim Min-kyung, a publishing editor with a keen eye and sharp wit; comedian Kim Won-hoon, who brings audiences laughter with his trendy sensibility; and chef Yoon Nam-no, who has reached the top through his exceptional obsession with cooking, completing the four-host lineup. The entertainment industry is watching to see what kind of synergy they will create, given that each has demonstrated expertise and individuality in a different field.
