2020년 2월 7일, 일본 애니메이션 제작사 TMS 엔터테인먼트의 자회사 텔레콤 애니메이션 필름(Telecom Animation Film)이 <신의 탑> 애니메이션을 제작 중이며 4월 1일 방영 예정이라고 깜짝 발표했다. <신의 탑>은 그동안 28개 국어로 번역돼 각국에 연재되는 등 해외에서도 인기를 모았고, 그래서 이번 애니메이션화 소식은 북미에서도 다양한 반응을 보이고 있다.
