After a 1 year and 10 month hiatus, the girl group BLACKPINK returned as a full group, drawing explosive reactions from fans with their energetic performance.

BLACKPINK held their new world tour 'DEADLINE' performances at the Goyang Sports Complex in Gyeonggi Province on the 5th and 6th, according to their agency. This performance marked the first time all four members shared the stage since the 'BORN PINK' concert in September 2023, attracting a total of 78,000 spectators, with 39,000 per show.

On the second day of the concert, the 6th, the members expressed their gratitude to fans, saying, "Thank you so much for coming today" and "Everyone looks so great dressed up in this heat." Jisoo shared, "We were excited and nervous to prepare both group and solo stages, allowing us to showcase various colors."

Despite the scorching heat of around 30 degrees, Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa showcased perfect synergy as if there had been no hiatus. Each member presented unique performances based on the skills they developed during their solo activities over the past 1 year and 10 months.

BLACKPINK previously set a record for K-pop girl group concerts by attracting 1.8 million spectators during their world tour 'BORN PINK' in 2022-2023. After leaving YG Entertainment, they expanded their global influence as solo artists.

In particular, Rosé set a record for the longest entry on the Billboard Hot 100 with her mega hit song 'APT.' Jennie, Lisa, and Jisoo also showcased their unique musical colors with their solo albums, securing individual fan bases.

As the countdown signaling the start of the performance began on the large LED screen and a video of the members in an open car appeared, the stadium was filled with cheers. BLACKPINK opened the show with 'Kill This Love,' covering their 9-year history with hit songs like 'Pink Venom,' 'How You Like That,' and 'Playing with Fire.'

The members shouted the team's signature slogan 'BLACKPINK IN YOUR AREA' as they appeared on a lift, starting the stage with charismatic raps. From the beginning of the performance, flames, fireworks, and pyrotechnics elevated the atmosphere.

The dynamic sound of the live band reminiscent of a rock concert blended with the members' vocals using handheld microphones, adding vibrancy to the performance. During the 'Playing with Fire' stage, the massive LED screen split into four, closely capturing the unique colors and energies each member exuded.

The 39,000 audience members filled the stadium, singing along to the choruses of hit songs like 'Let's Kill This Love!' (Kill This Love), 'Hit You with That Ddu-Du Ddu-Du!' (Ddu-Du Ddu-Du), and 'Our Love is Playing with Fire!' (Playing with Fire). This created a spectacular wave of pink support.

BLACKPINK also showcased solo stages that strongly highlighted each member's individuality. Jisoo displayed her enchanting charm with 'Earthquake' and 'Your Love,' while Lisa unleashed intense energy with 'New Woman' and 'Rockstar,' which she couldn't fully show during group activities.

Jennie got the entire audience on their feet with her solo hits 'Mantra' and 'Like JENNIE,' encouraging them to sing along. The atmosphere peaked as Rosé sang her emotional solo songs '3AM' and 'Toxic Till the End,' followed by the global hit 'APT.' As the familiar intro of 'APT.' played, the audience sang along, chanting 'APT. APT. APT. APT.∼' as Rosé joyfully ran around the stage, soaking in the atmosphere.

BLACKPINK also premiered their first full group new song 'Run' after 2 years and 8 months since their second studio album 'BORN PINK.' With a sophisticated beat captivating the ears, the members took turns singing solo parts before the mood suddenly shifted 180 degrees, unleashing an exciting sound perfect for summer.

Fans welcomed the addictive new song, which had a somewhat different texture from existing BLACKPINK hits like 'Boombayah,' 'Ddu-Du Ddu-Du,' and 'Shut Down,' shaking their light sticks vigorously. Jisoo commented on 'Run,' saying, "It's so addictive," and added, "Our new song will be released soon, and we revealed the stage here first. Please love the song a lot when it comes out."

Lisa expressed, "Honestly, I was really nervous since yesterday, and I'm still nervous," and said, "But seeing everyone having fun with us makes me so happy." Jennie remarked, "Thank you to everyone who came to Goyang as we start our tour," and added, "It's sad that today is the last day before we leave for our world tour."

BLACKPINK will continue their world tour, visiting cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, New York in the United States, Toronto in Canada, Paris in France, and London in the United Kingdom. The members are set to meet fans across 31 shows in stadiums in a total of 16 cities.
