CGV Arthouse Announces 2025 Independent and Art Film Box Office Results... Foreign Film 'Happy End' and Korean Film 'Master of the World' Top Box Office

This year, the list of the most beloved films at CGV Arthouse has been revealed.

According to the results compiled by CGV on the 31st, during the year 2025, approximately 360 independent and art films were screened at CGV Arthouse theaters nationwide. In addition, in the foreign film category, 〈Happy End〉 and in the Korean film category, 〈Master of the World〉 were named the top-grossing films.

The box office ranking for foreign films at CGV Arthouse is led by 〈Happy End〉, followed by 〈Brutalist〉, 〈The Fall: Director's Cut〉, 〈Substance〉, and 〈It Was Just an Accident〉, all making it to the top ranks. For Korean films, the order was 〈Master of the World〉, 〈People and Meat〉, 〈3670〉, 〈Five Minutes of You and Me〉, and 〈K Number〉.

Meanwhile, CGV Arthouse's regular short film screening project 'Shorts House' has celebrated its first anniversary. According to the results compiled by CGV Arthouse for the anniversary, 〈Happy End〉 directed by Neo Sora, 〈Sugar Glass Bottle〉, attracted the most audience among the Shorts House screening works.
