'Black and White Chef 2' Lim Seong-geun, 'Originally, I was supposed to team up with Chef Choi Yoo-gang for the mixed team battle'

Chef Lim Seong-geun shared the behind-the-scenes of 〈Black and White Chef 2〉. 

On the morning of the 14th, Korean cuisine master Chef Lim Seong-geun revealed the behind-the-scenes story of the Netflix original variety show 〈Black and White Chef: Culinary Class Wars Season 2〉 (hereafter 〈Black and White Chef 2〉) and his feelings about participating in the competition through his YouTube channel 'Yim Jjang TV'.

In the video, Lim Seong-geun disclosed the story behind selecting partners for the 'mixed team battle.' Lim Seong-geun said, "Originally, I was supposed to team up with Chef Choi Yoo-gang. Chef Choi Yoo-gang said, 'Hyung, I need to team up with you.' But suddenly, Yoon Joo-mo (the one who brews alcohol) came and said, 'Chef, I am a super fan of Yim Jjang TV.' If he hadn't said that, I wouldn't have picked him, but without hesitation, I chose Yoon Joo-mo," explaining the situation at that time. He added, "Chef Choi Yoo-gang was in an uproar, calling me a 'traitor.'"

Additionally, Lim Seong-geun explained the reason for selecting pork back ribs for the 'mixed team battle' menu, saying, "We eat pork ribs every day, so we think it's nothing special. But I wanted to show that 'Lim Seong-geun's is different, and I'll show you why it's different.' I wanted to promote Korean cuisine so that foreigners would think, 'Wow, there is such food in Korea.'"

Meanwhile, 〈Black and White Chef 2〉 aired its final episode on the 13th.
