The girl group BLACKPINK will return to fans with their third mini album 'DEADLINE' on February 27, as announced by their agency YG Entertainment on the 15th.
On this day, YG released a teaser video containing the news of BLACKPINK's comeback through their official blog, kicking off the full-scale comeback activities.
This comeback marks the official album release after a whopping 3 years and 5 months since the release of their second full album 'BORN PINK' in September 2022.
Although they released a digital single 'JUMP' last July, during the hiatus, the members have been actively pursuing their solo activities, building their unique musical worlds.

YG explained, "The album title is the same 'DEADLINE' as the world tour that kicked off at Goyang Sports Complex last July, the first of its kind for a K-pop girl group," adding, "We will grandly conclude the emotional journey created with fans around the world with this comeback."
BLACKPINK has already completed major album work, including music video filming, but focused on detailed post-production for the best quality. As a result, the album release has been reported to be delayed from the original schedule.
YG expressed, "We sincerely thank the fans who have waited for a long time," and added, "We will meet your expectations with music of the highest quality, so we ask for your interest and support."
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is set to conclude their world tour at Tokyo Dome in Japan from the 16th to the 18th and at Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong from the 24th to the 26th.
