The film 〈My Name Is〉 has been invited to this year's Berlin International Film Festival.

According to the production companies Let's Film and Aura Pictures on the 16th, the film 〈My Name Is〉 has achieved the remarkable feat of being officially invited to the 'Forum' section of the 76th Berlin International Film Festival, which will be held in Berlin, Germany for ten days starting from the 12th of next month. The Forum section showcases films with original and challenging characteristics. The film 〈The Grave〉 was invited to the same section in 2024.

The film 〈My Name Is〉 is a healing and growth drama that transcends the pain of Jeju, set against the backdrop of 4.3, and is particularly meaningful as it is the first Korean film to be invited to an overseas film festival in 2026. Director Jeong Ji-young's film 〈My Name Is〉 depicts the journey of an 18-year-old boy who wants to discard a name that does not suit him and his mother, who must protect that name, as well as the promise hidden behind that name from fifty years ago. Yeo Hye-ran plays the role of a mother who faces the truth of lost memories while raising her child alone, showcasing an overwhelming presence as the main character who drives the narrative of the work.

The film 〈My Name Is〉 is set to meet audiences in theaters across South Korea in April 2026.
