Choi Gang-rok shared his thoughts on appearing in 〈Black and White Chef 2〉 as a 'Hidden Back Spoon'.
On the afternoon of the 16th, an interview was held to commemorate the conclusion of the Netflix variety show 〈Black and White Chef: Culinary Class Wars 2〉 (hereinafter 〈Black and White Chef 2〉). On this day, Kim Hak-min, Kim Eun-ji PD of 〈Black and White Chef 2〉, and winner Choi Gang-rok met with Cineplay to reveal the behind-the-scenes of the competition.
During the interview, PDs Kim Hak-min and Kim Eun-ji recalled, "We wanted to create fun that we couldn't see in Season 1. So we only asked the two chefs, Kim Do-yoon and Choi Gang-rok, who appeared in Season 1, to participate in Season 2. We couldn't tell them about the 'Hidden Back Spoon' rule at that time." Choi Gang-rok said, "I heard about the 'Hidden Back Spoon' rule, where you have to get OK from both judges on the day to go up. So it was very scary, and I wanted to withdraw from appearing. But when I saw the cooking station coming up from below, it seemed like a lot of money was spent, so I thought I shouldn't withdraw (haha)," sharing his experience at that time.
Meanwhile, the Netflix variety show 〈Black and White Chef 2〉 released its final episode on the 13th.
