Disney·Pixar's veteran production team, armed with perfected skills accumulated over the years, presents 〈Out of the Nest〉 which will meet audiences in theaters nationwide on February 14 (Friday) with global acclaim. The spectacular team play adventure of the unexpected hero 'Arthur' and the adorably maxed-out royal 'Peepies' against the dark sorcerer trying to engulf the Kingdom of Castilia will kick off the theatrical season on February 14. This work, showcasing fairy-tale imagination and delightful characters, is a well-made animation that has first gained attention for its solid technical design.
〈Out of the Nest〉 is a project completed by a veteran production team that has experienced the forefront of feature animation at the world's top studios, including Disney, Pixar, and Sony Pictures Animation. Andrew Gordon, who has built the essence of story structure and sequence direction through his work on 〈Toy Story〉 1-3, 〈Monsters, Inc.〉, and 〈Finding Nemo〉, meticulously designs the rhythm of the story and the flow of emotions in this work. The reason the narrative does not falter even in a lively adventure is due to his seasoned coordination stemming from his experience in feature animation production. Additionally, the movements added by Jeff Shuh, who worked as the main animator on the 〈Hotel Transylvania〉 series and 〈The Polar Express〉, breathe life into the screen. The smoothly connected motions at every moment where character timing, movement, action, and humor intertwine leave a clear persuasiveness without the technology taking center stage. Arturo A. Hernandez, who participated in the production of Disney classics 〈Beauty and the Beast〉 and 〈Hercules〉, delicately refines the characters' expressions, textures, and colors, adding warmth and depth to the fantasy world. The visuals are splendid but not excessive, and the emotions remain distinct.
The concentrated capabilities of these studio veterans have already been confirmed in the eyes of the international animation industry. 〈Out of the Nest〉 was invited to the 'Annecy Presents' section of the 48th Annecy International Animation Film Festival, where only 12 films are selected, and was introduced as a work with implementation and completeness from the production stage. Following the Annecy Presents screening, evaluations regarding technical completeness continued among industry experts. One overseas animation industry insider commented, "The character movements and scene transitions are very stable, and the experience of feature animation production naturally permeates the entire screen." Another animation expert remarked, "The detailed direction and physical movement design hidden behind the cute character design are impressive," adding, "You can immediately feel that this is a work made by studio veterans." Such reactions have also led to its inclusion in the preliminary candidate list for the animation category at the 98th Academy Awards. The balance of story, characters, and visuals elevates 〈Out of the Nest〉 beyond a simple family animation, establishing it as a feature animation that embodies technology and experience. The meticulously built rhythm of movement, depth of space, and temperature of emotions in 〈Out of the Nest〉 clearly demonstrate the results of the production methods honed over time by veteran production teams from Disney and Pixar.
