'Kung Fu Hustle' Leung Siulung Passes Away at 77

Veteran actor Leung Siulung, who left a deep impression on Korean audiences with his villainous role in 〈Kung Fu Hustle〉, has passed away.

On January 18 (local time), various media outlets in Hong Kong reported that actor Leung Siulung passed away on the 14th, and his family is currently preparing for funeral arrangements. According to reports, he was known to have had no significant health issues or chronic illnesses, as he was seen dining with acquaintances just the day before his death, adding to the sorrow.

Leung Siulung began his career as a martial arts director and walked the path of an action star with films like 〈The Iron-Fisted Monk〉, 〈The Dragon Lives Again〉, and 〈The Prodigal Son〉. Among the many action stars who filled the void left by Bruce Lee, he showcased unparalleled martial arts skills and was recognized as one of 'The Three Dragons of Hong Kong' alongside Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan. After hearing the news of Leung Siulung's passing, Jackie Chan expressed his condolences, stating that the deceased was a "true kung fu master" and "a figure respected by the entire industry."
