Actress Park So-dam has stepped up to support the juniors who will lead the future of Korean cinema.

Her agency, The Present Company, announced on the 12th that Park So-dam will participate as the face of the '28th Korea National University of Arts Film Department Graduation Film Festival.' This participation is significant as it goes beyond simple ambassador activities, providing support to young creators preparing for the next generation as a graduate and senior artist of the Korea National University of Arts (hereafter KNUA). Park So-dam, a graduate of the KNUA Theater Department, has established a unique presence in various works, including the film 〈The Priests〉, 〈Parasite〉, and the upcoming 〈Gyeongju Journey〉.

KNUA is the only national university of arts in Korea that has produced actors leading Korean films and dramas, such as Lee Je-hoon, Park Jung-min, Byun Yo-han, and Kim Go-eun. This film festival is a place where the fruits of education and creation meet the world for the first time, showcasing a total of 71 works submitted from the Art History and Professional courses of the Film Department.

Park So-dam expressed her heartfelt thoughts, saying, "The time I spent at KNUA was the most important foundation that made me who I am today," and added, "I want to contribute even a little to this film festival where juniors can freely express their own stories." In response, the festival organizers stated, "The sincerity and respect of actress Park So-dam will deepen the meaning of the film festival even more."

Park So-dam is expected to participate in various programs, including the poster and opening ceremony, to support the new sprouts of the Korean film industry. The '28th Korea National University of Arts Film Department Graduation Film Festival,' where various perspectives and challenges of future filmmakers can be observed, will take place from February 19 to 22 at Megabox Guui Eastpole.
