"Feeling the Earthquake with Your Whole Body"... 'Attack on Titan The Movie: THE LAST ATTACK' Re-release in Dolby and 4DX

The Japanese animation 〈Attack on Titan The Movie: THE LAST ATTACK〉 that took the domestic box office by storm last year will be re-released in special theaters this March to celebrate its 1st anniversary.

Anime Plus announced on the 18th that to mark the 1st anniversary of 〈Attack on Titan〉, re-screening will begin on the 13th of next month in Dolby Cinema, Dolby Vision + Atmos, and Dolby Atmos formats, with 4DX and MX4D formats also set to be added on the 20th. This re-release will be the first in Korea to introduce Dolby and 4DX formats, significantly enhancing the viewing experience.

〈Attack on Titan The Movie: THE LAST ATTACK〉 depicts the final struggle of the Survey Corps to stop the 'earthquake' that tramples everything alive in this world. It is a film edited from the last season of the TV animation series based on Hajime Isayama's manga of the same name, which has recorded a cumulative circulation of 140 million copies worldwide, containing the core narrative that concludes the series.

When it was released last year, this film attracted 950,000 viewers, setting a record as the highest-grossing film in the history of Megabox's exclusive screenings. Among special theaters, the MX4D format, which allows viewers to directly feel the overwhelming scale of the 'earthquake' through sensory effects like vibrations and wind, was particularly popular. Despite MX4D being the only special theater option at the time, it was reported that 20% of the total audience watched in the MX4D format.

A representative from Anime Plus stated, "Thanks to the enthusiastic support from audiences last year, the re-release in March this year has been confirmed," adding, "Especially in Korea, we will be screening in Dolby and 4DX formats for the first time, providing a diverse viewing experience."
