〈Toy Story 5〉 has stirred nostalgia among audiences with the release of its main poster and trailer.
The popular series from Pixar Animation Studios, 〈Toy Story〉, is coming to audiences with its fifth film. Ahead of its release in June, 〈Toy Story 5〉 unveiled its main poster and trailer in South Korea on February 20. This installment depicts Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and other toys reuniting as they face the threat posed by a frog-shaped high-tech smart tablet, 'Lily Pad', which captures children's attention and jeopardizes the position of existing toys.
The trailer begins with Forky welcoming a bride, and soon transitions to Bonnie receiving the Lily Pad, vividly illustrating the sense of crisis felt by the toys. The toys, pushed aside by the Lily Pad, seek help from Woody, who has left in search of a new life, and the trailer hints that Woody will return briefly to assist his friends. Notably, the main trailer evokes nostalgia for series fans with the dramatic reunion of Woody and Buzz, the schemes of the Lily Pad, and homage scenes reminiscent of the first film.
Returning after 7 years since 〈Toy Story 4〉, 〈Toy Story 5〉 brings back original members such as Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, and Joan Cusack, revitalizing the series once again. The film is set to be released in South Korea in June 2026.
