Actress Kang Min-ah returns with a cool face hidden behind the glamorous stage.
Recently proving her acting skills through various works, Kang Min-ah has confirmed her appearance as Yoo Ji-an in the new drama 〈Empathy Cell〉, hinting at a new acting transformation. 〈Empathy Cell〉 is a romantic comedy that depicts the process of a woman who denies empathy and a man who embraces it, invading each other's worlds through a surreal event called 'emotional transference' and learning lost emotions again.
In the drama, Kang Min-ah plays Yoo Ji-an, a former girl group member who was once called a 'national idol' and enjoyed explosive popularity. Due to her mother's harsh management since childhood, she has lived suppressing her true emotions and faces a crisis due to a lack of empathy, leading to controversies over her acting skills. Kang Min-ah is expected to delicately portray the character's emotional line as she experiences unexpected 'emotional transference' after meeting psychological counseling expert Cha Eun-hwan, revealing the loneliness hidden behind her glamorous life.
Having built a diverse filmography across genres with dramas such as 〈Seonam Girls High School Detective Team〉, 〈Boldly Go Go〉, 〈True Beauty〉, 〈Monster〉, 〈Blue Spring from a Distance〉, 〈Gauss Electronics〉, and the film 〈Park Hwa-young〉, Kang Min-ah's strength is expected to shine in this 〈Empathy Cell〉 as well. As she has shown a variety of faces with solid acting skills in each work, public expectations are focused on the new transformation she will showcase through the Yoo Ji-an character.
With Kang Min-ah's joining raising expectations, the drama 〈Empathy Cell〉 is accelerating its production.
