The group Tomorrow X Together (TXT) is making their return to the Korean music scene with their first group album after all members have renewed their contracts. Their agency, Big Hit Music, officially announced on the 2nd that Tomorrow X Together will release their mini album ‘7TH YEAR: When the Wind Stopped for a Moment in the Thornbush’ on April 13. This new release is drawing significant attention from global fans as it marks their first step after all members completed their contract renewals last August.
The new album title ‘7TH YEAR’ encapsulates the past seven years the team has walked together. In particular, the lyrical yet lengthy title ‘When the Wind Stopped for a Moment in the Thornbush’ evokes memories of Tomorrow X Together’s unique songwriting style, reminiscent of their early hits like ‘CROWN’ and ‘Run Away’ which created a huge impact upon their debut.
The official trailer and photos released alongside the announcement left a strong impression. The silhouettes covered in thorns and glowing with fluorescent light in the black-and-white video stimulate curiosity about the message contained in the new album. The members recited the lyrics of the song ‘Thornbush’ by the poet and village chief in calm voices, revealing a deeper artistic sensibility.
The trailer for this new release was first unveiled at the special concert ‘2026 TXT MOA CON’ celebrating their 7th anniversary, which successfully concluded on the 1st. This performance, held from February 27 to March 1 at the KSPO DOME in Songpa-gu, Seoul, attracted about 33,000 spectators, proving the overwhelming power of Korean fans. At the end of the concert, the members expressed, “The team is so precious. We want to continue together and protect it,” confirming the strengthened teamwork after their contract renewals.
Tomorrow X Together’s mini album ‘7TH YEAR: When the Wind Stopped for a Moment in the Thornbush’ will be officially released on April 13 at 6 PM. Pre-orders will start on March 3 at 11 AM.
