Actress Yerin Ha shared the process of joining the major work 〈Bridgerton 4〉.

On the afternoon of the 4th, a press conference was held on the 3rd floor live hall of Community House Masil in Myeongdong, Jung-gu, Seoul, where actress Yerin Ha responded to questions from domestic reporters regarding 〈Bridgerton〉 Season 4 (hereafter 〈Bridgerton 4〉). On this day, Yerin Ha talked about the behind-the-scenes of 〈Bridgerton 4〉 and her experiences living as a Hollywood actress.

Netflix 〈Bridgerton〉 is a series that deals with the scandals and romances that shook the British upper class in the 19th century, making headlines every season. The entire season of 〈Bridgerton 4〉 was released on February 26, featuring a romance series that crosses the boundaries of love, identity, and class between the free-spirited Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson), who is indifferent to marriage, and the 'woman in the silver dress' he meets at a masquerade, and the real-life maid Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha). Yerin Ha, who plays the role of Sophie Baek, is a Korean-Australian actress who gained attention for her roles in the Netflix series 〈Survivors〉 and the drama 〈Halo〉, and she is also the first Asian actress to take on a leading role in the 〈Bridgerton〉 series.

On this day, Yerin Ha recalled the moment she received the audition offer for 〈Bridgerton 4〉. Yerin Ha said, "I was in Taean. I was shopping at Lotte Mart when I received a call from my agent asking if I knew about 〈Bridgerton〉. I replied, 'Of course I do!' So I sent a self-tape of two scenes from 〈Bridgerton 4〉." She continued, "I thought I wouldn't hear back, but I received an email asking for a Zoom meeting with the production team. Later, at 11 PM Korean time, I had a chemistry read with Luke Thompson for the role of Benedict. Afterward, I was having dinner with my mother in Gangnam when I heard the news that I was accepted. My mother cried tears of joy," recalling the emotional moment.

Yerin Ha is also the granddaughter of veteran actress Son-sook. On this day, Yerin Ha shared, "When I was young, I came to Korea about once a year to see my grandmother's plays. After watching a one-person play my grandmother performed, I thought the profession of an actor who can provide comfort to people is wonderful," confessing the significant influence her grandmother had on her. She added, "My grandmother (Son-sook) watched 〈Bridgerton 4〉 all the way through and said she was proud," and she humorously noted, "This morning, I saw my grandmother, and while I used to be known as 'Son-sook's granddaughter Yerin Ha,' now she says, 'Yerin Ha's grandmother Son-sook,'" bringing laughter to the audience.
