Actress Kim So-hye shared her closing thoughts for JTBC’s weekend drama 〈The Matchmakers' Guide to Love〉, which wrapped up on May 5.
In this work, Kim So-hye played Sae-byeok, a new hire working as an intern at the purchasing team of The Hills Hotel. In the drama, after Sae-byeok fails to secure a transition to a permanent position within the purchasing team, she starts a new job at the woodworking studio “Home” thanks to a suggestion from her senior Lee Ui-young (Han Ji-min)’s partner, Song Tae-seop (Park Sung-hoon). In the final episode, she surprised everyone by revealing her office romance with her coworker Jin-su (Lee Hyun-so).
Through her agency, Noon Company, Kim So-hye stated, “Every moment I shared on set with the senior actors and staff members became a learning process and a happy time for both Sae-byeok and me, and I’m truly grateful.” She then added an encouragement message aimed at the character Sae-byeok she portrayed: “Like Sae-byeok, who quietly prepares the light during the hours when everyone else is asleep, the efforts you’ve built up without letting others know will take you to the brightest place. And don’t forget—you are already the kind of presence that feels like a pleasant new beginning to someone.”
After finishing her drama schedule, Kim So-hye returns to her main job as a singer and will take part in the full-group activities of the project group “I.O.I” in May. From May 29 to 31, for three days, she will hold the “2026 I.O.I Concert Tour: LOOP” at the Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Seoul. After that, she plans to continue the tour with performances in major Asian cities, including Bangkok on June 6 and Hong Kong on June 20 and 21.
