The 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards: Final Nominees Revealed... 'The King's Warden' and 'No Other Choice' Lead with 7 Nominations Each in the Film Category

Final nominees by category for the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards were revealed on the 13th.

The Baeksang Arts Awards secretariat announced the nominees lists for the TV, film, theater, and musical categories on its official website over the past year. The review period covers content provided from April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026 on terrestrial channels, cable channels, and OTTs, as well as feature films released domestically during the same period, along with staged theater and musical works.

For the TV drama category, the nominees were tvN 〈Our Unwritten Seoul〉, JTBC 〈The Dream Life of Mr. Kim〉, Netflix 〈You and Everything Else〉, Disney+ 〈Low Life〉, and tvN 〈Bon Appétit, Your Majesty〉.

The nominees for Best Performance by an Actor (Male) were Ryoo Seung-ryong (JTBC 〈The Dream Life of Mr. Kim〉), Park Jin-young (tvN 〈Our Unwritten Seoul〉), Lee Jun-ho (tvN 〈Typhoon Family〉), Ji Sung (MBC 〈The Judge Returns〉), and Hyun Bin (Disney+ 〈Made in Korea〉). For Best Performance by an Actor (Female), nominees included Kim Go-eun (Netflix 〈You and Everything Else〉), Park Bo-young (tvN 〈Our Unwritten Seoul〉), Park Ji-hyun (Netflix 〈You and Everything Else〉), Shin Hye-sun (Netflix 〈The Art of Sarah〉), and YoonA Lim (tvN 〈Bon Appétit, Your Majesty〉).

The nominees for the entertainment (variety) awards included Ki An84, Kwak Beom, Lee Seo-jin, Jang Do-yeon, Hong Jin-kyung, Lee Soo-ji, and volleyball player Kim Yeon-koung (MBC 〈Rookie Director Kim Yeon-koung〉).

In the film category, 〈No Other Choice〉 and 〈The King's Warden〉 were nominated in seven categories each, becoming the most heavily nominated titles. Yoo Hae-jin and Park Ji-hoon from 〈The King's Warden〉 were both shortlisted for acting awards.

Meanwhile, this year’s 62nd awards ceremony introduced a 'Musical Category' to mark the 60th anniversary of Korean musicals. Among the first lineup of acting nominees were Kim Jun-su, Hong Gwang-ho, Park Eun-tae, Kim Shin-rok, and more.

In the theater category 'Baeksang Theater Awards,' five productions were selected: 〈Last Visit〉, 〈Mirror〉, 〈Sammaegyeong〉, 〈End Wall_What Is There Beyond the Wall〉, and 〈Jellyfish〉. In the theater acting awards category, Kim Shin-rok ( 〈Prima Facie〉) and Jeon Hye-jin ( 〈Antrópolis II Lios〉) are among the contenders.

The 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards ceremony will be hosted by Shin Dong-yup, Suzy, and Park Bo-gum, and will take place on May 8 at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, with a simultaneous live broadcast through JTBC, JTBC2, and JTBC4.
