Rookie boy group MODYSSEY kicked off with a stunning leap past 300,000 units in first-week sales, leaving a strong mark on the music industry from day one.
First-Week Album Sales Surpass 300,000 Units In the Hanteo Chart weekly album chart (based on the April 13–April 19 tally), MODYSSEY (Henwui, Panzeri, Lizhao, Linlin, Suron, Ichen, Rowan) recorded first-week sales of a total of 300,202 units. This places them at No. 2 among rookie boy groups that debuted this year. Since the team was formed through two survival audition programs, their solid storytelling and deep-rooted popularity translated directly into measurable sales figures, making this a meaningful achievement.
Music Show Debut and Reverse Gift ('Yeok-jogoong') Fan Communication Momentum on stage and fan communication are also moving fast. MODYSSEY began with Mnet's 'M Countdown' on the 16th, followed by KBS 2TV 'Music Bank' on the 17th, MBC 'Show! Music Core' on the 18th, and SBS 'Inkigayo' on the 19th—covering a tightly packed first-week debut schedule. They drew attention with performances built around the song's universe and steady live vocals, and by holding a standout-scale reverse gift event that put their name on X (formerly Twitter) real-time trends, they’ve proven their buzz.
Next Steps Heading to the Global Stage After a successful debut week, MODYSSEY is expanding their activity range beyond Korea to the global stage. Starting May 8 through May 10, they will take the stage at 'KCON JAPAN 2026' at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, where they’ll meet fans on-site. Then, on May 30, their appearance at 'Mega Concert' at Incheon Yeongjongdo Inspire Arena has also been confirmed, raising expectations for a diverse run of activities with no downtime from their debut onward.
