
JTBC's new drama 〈Suddenly Intern〉 unveiled its first script reading attended by the main cast on the 21st.
〈Suddenly Intern〉 follows Kang Yong-ho, the chairman who built the country's largest company, Choiseong Group, as he faces an unwanted second life after an unexpected accident. Creator Kim Soon-ok participated in the planning, Go Hye-jin directs, and writer Hyeon Ji-min penned the script.
The script reading was attended by the full main cast, including Son Hyun-joo, Lee Jun-young, Lee Ju-myung, Jeon Hye-jin, and Jin Goo. Son Hyun-joo takes on the central role of Choiseong Group's chairman, Kang Yong-ho. Lee Jun-young portrays former soccer player Hwang Jun-hyun, while Lee Ju-myung plays Kang Bang-geul, the hidden child of a chaebol family who appears free-spirited but harbors ambition inside.
Kang Yong-ho's children, Kang Jae-kyung and Kang Jae-seong, are played by Jeon Hye-jin and Jin Goo, respectively. Jeon Hye-jin portrays a character who charges toward her goals, while Jin Goo plays one consumed by inferiority; together, they will depict the psychological warfare over inheritance.
JTBC's new drama 〈Suddenly Intern〉, starring Son Hyun-joo and Lee Jun-young, premieres on May 30.
