The 30th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN) unveiled its official poster and new slogan on the 21st ahead of its opening in July.
The newly released poster centers on the 'chameleon'—a creature that freely changes its appearance to suit its surroundings. The festival said this represents BIFAN's identity of having repeatedly transformed and flexibly evolved over the past 30 years.
The main poster portrays a chameleon tearing through its own tough hide, while the accompanying sub-poster depicts a chameleon spreading its wings in the dark, using multilayered colors to convey the festival's history of experimentation and its potential. The poster design was handled by designers Park Chae-yeon and Sa So-dong, with Executive Chairperson Shin Cheol taking part in art direction.

The new slogan for the 30th festival, revealed alongside the poster, is 'NEW ERA NEW SKIN'. It succinctly expresses the festival's vision and determination to boldly adopt new colors and respond to sweeping changes of the times. Recently, BIFAN has continued taking steps to respond to the new era, including building an AI creative ecosystem.
Shin Cheol, the executive chairperson, said, "We discovered BIFAN's identity in the chameleon, an icon of change, adaptation, flexibility, and resilience," adding, "We hope audiences will look forward to BIFAN as it embraces change without fear and spreads new wings."
Meanwhile, the 30th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival will be held throughout Bucheon City for 11 days from July 2 to 12.
