“14th Diaspora Film Festival” will present three Iranian films selected as its opening lineup, drawing keen attention from the global film world. Director Mohammad Hormozi’s “Light in the Window”, Director Malek Eghbali’s “Like Friends, Like Deer”, and Director Amen Saraei’s “Alone in Tehran” offer insightful narratives that resonate with the very core of the diaspora. The opening ceremony, held at Aegwan Theater, will kick off with a distinguished hosting lineup led by actor Jo Min-soo and announcer Kim Hwan, and will also feature a special performance by “Sanmanhan Siseon”, promising a memorable start and outstanding artistic results.

A special performance to celebrate the opening is also in the works. Last year’s Korean Popular Music Awards winner of the “Rookie of the Year” award, the folk duo “Sanmanhan Siseon”, will take the stage, further heightening the festival’s excitement.
Beyond movie screenings, there will be plenty of enjoyable ways for audiences to join in. During the festival period, a variety of supporting events will be held, including events and educational programs, as well as hands-on running experiences, a flea market, and more. The full screening schedule will be announced later through the festival’s official website, and pre-registration for supporting events will begin on the 11th of next month.
