JYP Entertainment’s next-generation boy group NEXZ (NEXZ) said they aim to build on the legacy of senior group Stray Kids and unfold their own uniquely original musical world.

At a second single album “Mmchk” (Mmchk) release commemorative showcase held at Blue Square in Yongsan-gu, Seoul on the 27th in the afternoon, NEXZ unveiled the new track stage for the first time. Member HUI said, “I’ll do my best to become a group worthy of the nickname ‘JYP’s next generation.’”
They also didn’t forget to show respect for their senior group. NEXZ said, “It makes me happy and grateful to be the juniors of senior Stray Kids,” adding, “While continuing the path our seniors paved, we’ll also present new music that’s distinctly NEXZ.” SEITA said as a specific goal for this activity, “I’ve been nominated for No. 1 on music broadcasts, but I haven’t won an award. This time, I definitely want to take No. 1,” expressing strong determination. , who celebrated her birthday that day, also shared her expectations for a fan showcase where her family would attend.

New album “Mmchk” is a release they present for the first time in six months since “Beat-Boxer”, released in October last year. The eponymous title track “Mmchk” is a newly coined term created by NEXZ themselves, and they rhythmically expressed the free charm that can’t be neatly categorized. In particular, TOMOYA, HUI, and YUKI directly participated in writing the lyrics, adding authenticity.
YUKI explained, “We combined, edited, and finalized the lyrics written by the member-lyricists themselves.” The Japanese member HUI added, “Writing lyrics in Korean was difficult, but we wanted to include our message, so we worked intensely while searching through dictionaries.” This single includes a total of three tracks, including the title song, the English version of “Mmchk,” and “HYPEMAN”.

Ahead of their second anniversary since debut, NEXZ showed an even more mature stage presence. TOMOYA said, “NEXZ’s color has become even more distinct, and we’ve gained the confidence to enjoy the stage.” HUI also said, “The awards we received at the awards ceremony became motivation to work even harder.”
They plan to meet global fans as they take the stage at Brazil’s major music festival “Rock in Rio” this coming September. NEXZ shared their bold ambition, saying, “Since performance is our strength, we’ll overwhelm the venue with a perfect stage.”
