The comic action film 〈OK! MADAM 2〉 (OK! MADAM: BON VOYAGE), starring Uhm Jung-hwa, will hit theaters Aug. 12, the distributor said, releasing its main poster and trailer the same day.

〈OK! MADAM 2〉 follows former legendary agent Mi-young (Uhm Jung-hwa) and her family, whose luxury cruise vacation turns into chaos when a hijacking erupts at sea. The original film, released in 2020, was a box-office hit on the strength of its breezy action and comedy. Original cast members Uhm Jung-hwa, Park Sung-woong, Lee Sang-yoon and Bae Jung-nam return, joined by Park Jin-joo, Ryeoun and Choi Soo-young, who will deliver special synergy.

The newly released main poster frames the seven actors against the cruise backdrop, each projecting a distinct personality. The trailer delivers a sharp twist: while enjoying a long-awaited vacation away from their daily routines, Mi-young and her party are suddenly confronted by Anya (Choi Soo-young), the leader of a large criminal organization, who seizes control of the ship in an instant. In a desperate, life-or-death hostage situation, Mi-young reclaims her true nature and unleashes dazzling action and high-speed chases across the deck and the beach, while the trailer also previews the lively exploits of a group of distinctive allies.

The sequel reunites director Lee Cheol-ha, who returns to the helm after the first film, with screenwriter Cha Soo-hyun. The production company described the film as an entertainment that will blow away the summer heat with refreshing action and add comic elements the whole family can enjoy. The film 〈OK! MADAM 2〉 opens in Korean theaters on Wednesday, Aug. 12.
