'Infinite Company' and 'Hello, Francesca' to Return as Wavve Unveils Two Spinoffs This Year

Legendary IPs Make a Dazzling Comeback, Poised to Shake Up the Streaming Market

'Infinite Challenge', one of the most influential shows in South Korean broadcasting history, is bringing back its megahit segment 'Infinite Company' and the legendary sitcom 'Hello, Francesca' with entirely new stories.

Wavve, an online video service (OTT), officially announced on the 25th that it will release the sitcom 'Infinite Company: Hawasu Never Die', a reimagining of 'Infinite Company', and 'Francesca Next Door', a spinoff drama based on 'Hello, Francesca', by the end of the year. The projects are being viewed as a bold expansion of the original IP's universe that goes beyond simple remastering.

'Infinite Company: Hawasu Never Die' is set at the fictional company 'Infinite Company,' offering a close-up look at the struggles of office workers navigating a fiercely competitive modern society. Original cast members Park Myung-soo and Jung Joon-ha take center stage, promising a chaotic office-survival story unfolding beneath their titles of department manager and section chief. In September, ahead of the main series' launch, legendary episodes of 'Infinite Company' will be released first in 4K upscaled versions, building anticipation among viewers.

Meanwhile, 'Hello, Francesca,' which enjoyed a sensation-level surge in popularity when it aired in 2005, will continue its legacy with 'Francesca Next Door.' The story follows Pi Na-young, a vampire who transfers from Romania and struggles to adapt to the human world, as she becomes entangled with Jang Woo-joo, the class president, in a wildly unpredictable series of events. Newcomers Han Su-a and Kim Hyun-jin have been cast as the drama's leads.

Most notably, Shim Hye-jin, Park Seul-gi and Park Hee-jin, whose performances helped drive the original's success, will join the project in special appearances. Their participation is expected to create a powerful synergy by bringing together the old and the new.
