Kim Dong-ryul, one of South Korea's leading singer-songwriters, will mark a new milestone in his musical journey this October. His agency, Music Farm Entertainment, officially announced on the 26th that he will hold 'Old Song', his first concert without an orchestra since his debut.

Kim Dong-ryul, who has long captivated audiences with the overwhelming scale of full-orchestra sound, will attempt a bold musical transformation on this stage. He plans to strip away elaborate arrangements and focus entirely on basic 'band arrangements' and the artist's 'voice.'

In a post on his personal social media accounts, he explained the thinking behind the project: "I still love grand, large-scale music, but I've long yearned to perform with a 'stripped-down setup' at least once." He added, "It will be an even tougher challenge because it feels like going into battle without a sword or shield, but I wanted to find the courage to try it before it was too late," showing his commitment to musical authenticity.

The concert's highlight will be the rediscovery of 'hidden gems' that are rarely heard onstage because of the limitations of large-scale arrangements. Yul Band, which has created perfect synergy with him over many years, will join the show and deliver solid, densely layered live performances that remain substantial even within the aesthetic of restraint.

Kim Dong-ryul expressed confidence, saying, "Those who cherish the overlooked songs on my albums more than the popular hits, as well as fans who still hold fond memories of the 2019 'Old Song' concert, have every reason to look forward to this." As fierce competition for tickets is expected, the specific 'concert date and time' and 'venue' will be announced later.
