Eight shows prove BTS’ “overwhelming ticket power”

Global powerhouse “BTS” has surpassed approximately 600 billion won in cumulative revenue with its new world tour, “Arirang,” setting another milestone in the history of global pop music. The group generated more than 140 billion won in revenue from just eight shows in July.

According to data released on the 27th by U.S. music industry publication “Billboard,” BTS generated $102.5 million (approximately 141.5 billion won) through the “Arirang” tour last month. That ranked second on Billboard’s July “Top Tours” chart, behind The Weeknd, who earned $124.4 million (approximately 171.7 billion won) from 16 shows. The agency said the result was particularly significant because BTS generated comparable revenue with half as many performances.

European fervor drives “third-largest record of all time”

“Billboard” spotlighted BTS as the third act in history, after Beyoncé and Bad Bunny, to generate more than $100 million in monthly concert revenue over multiple months. Every concert held last month landed in the top 10 of the “Top Boxscore” chart. Major stadiums across Europe hosted the group, including Stade de France in Paris (No. 3), Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London (No. 5), Allianz Arena in Munich (No. 6) and King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels (No. 7).

Paris alone drew 185,000 fans and generated $30.6 million (approximately 42.2 billion won) in ticket sales. The cumulative figures are even more striking. As of the 11th of this month, 2.3 million tickets had been sold for 38 “Arirang” shows, generating cumulative revenue of $433.2 million (approximately 598 billion won). That figure easily surpasses the group’s previous record of $213.9 million (approximately 295.3 billion won), set by its “Love Yourself” tour.

The saga continues as BTS heads to “LA’s SoFi Stadium”

“BigHit Music,” BTS’ agency, said the tour will continue through the first half of next year, putting its final revenue and attendance well above previous records. “BTS,” reshaping the global music market, will move to SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on the 1st and 2nd and the 5th and 6th of next month, extending its explosive box-office momentum.
