Jung Hae-in and Shin Se-kyung have been cast in the TVING original romance series 〈Love Virus〉, set to premiere next year (2027). Co-producers CJ ENM STUDIOS, Studio Phoenix and SLL confirmed the casting and said the series will debut in 2027. The series is written by Choi Soo-young and Nam In-young and co-directed by Kim Seok-yoon and Choi Bo-yoon.
〈Love Virus〉 follows a couple who have been each other’s first loves for nine years. After nine years together, they decide to take a pre-marriage "break time" to meet other romantic prospects so they can marry without lingering regrets, and the story follows what happens next.
Jung Hae-in plays Ha Do-woon, the only son of a wealthy family and a lawyer known for his flawless looks, talent and athleticism. A character who achieves whatever he sets out to do, Ha Do-woon is written to show both the comfort of a long-term relationship and the provocative tension that comes from a bold decision.
Shin Se-kyung plays Kang Chae-rin, Ha Do-woon’s girlfriend of nine years and a fee-for-service dentist (commonly referred to as a "pay doctor"). Famous for her exceptional beauty since her school days, she holds top credentials and maintains a strong work-life balance, but has recently begun to feel disillusioned with a life spent on a single path. The role captures both the comfort of a long relationship and the character’s bold, self-possessed charm.
The series will be co-directed by Kim Seok-yoon and Choi Bo-yoon, who previously brought a delicate touch to dramas including 〈My Liberation Notes〉, 〈The Light in Your Eyes〉 and 〈More Beautiful Than Heaven〉. The script is by Choi Soo-young and Nam In-young, who offered a fresh, realistic take on romance in works such as 〈Love to Hate You〉 and 〈My ID is Gangnam Beauty〉.
The TVING original 〈Love Virus〉, which depicts the bold choice a once-perfect, nine-year couple makes to ensure they enter marriage without regrets, is scheduled to be released on TVING in 2027.
