ENA Unveils Teasers for Ahn Pan-seok’s Final Drama Starring Chu Yeong-woo, Kim So-hyun

ENA on the 1st released two mood teaser videos for its new Monday-Tuesday drama 〈Love Doctor〉, starring Chu Yeong-woo and Kim So-hyun, ahead of its Oct. 5 premiere.

〈Love Doctor〉 tells the story of Park Min-jae (Chu Yeong-woo), a doctoral student who was a high school swimmer but lost one leg to illness, and Im Yu-jin (Kim So-hyun), a master's student who lost her path and found a new direction. Set in a robotics laboratory, it promises a spicy, bittersweet romance between the two young leads.

Park Min-jae, played by Chu Yeong-woo, is a character who gave up his dream of being a swimmer and found a new life in robotics engineering. Awkward about expressing his feelings, he persists in his research even when progress is slow. Im Yu-jin, played by Kim So-hyun, was labeled a "troublemaker" in the fashion department and saw her graduate-school prospects blocked; after meeting Park Min-jae, she is introduced to the world of robotics engineering. She pursues both robot research and love head-on without hesitation.

The two teasers capture the giddy early moments of a romance between the characters. In the first video, the two walk side by side under a single umbrella while Park Min-jae's calm confession — "You do that to me. You're like the sun. You're hot." — plays over the scene. The second video shows the pair sitting together in the very back of a bus, sharing candy and meeting each other's eyes in a scene meant to heighten the romantic tension.

The drama has drawn extra attention because it is director Ahn Pan-seok’s final work following his death last month. Ahn directed acclaimed romances such as 〈Graduation〉, 〈Something in the Rain〉, 〈One Spring Night〉 and 〈Secret Affair〉. Min Hyo-jung, known for 〈Rooftop Cat〉 and 〈Full House〉, wrote the script.

ENA's new Monday-Tuesday drama 〈Love Doctor〉 premieres on Oct. 5.
