82MAJOR drops HEAT on the 1st, four-track comeback forged through injury

Second leap forged through injury-fueled dedication and self-production

Boy group 82MAJOR will release its second single, HEAT, at 6 p.m. on the 1st. Its agency, Great M Entertainment, said the new release captures the members’ distinctive energy and passion for music.

The title track, “Like Fire”, which forms the album’s backbone, explores the moment when a deep attraction to someone sends emotions spiraling beyond control. All of the members participated directly in writing the lyrics, composing the music and creating the choreography, proving their ability as all-rounders.

The single features four tracks, including the title song, showcasing the group’s diverse musical spectrum.

The members are equally determined. Park Seok-joon said, “As we prepared for our comeback, I could feel that we had grown further in both music and performance,” adding, “We will prove the results of that growth onstage.” Cho Seong-il, who was unable to perform a full set during the group’s previous promotions because of a leg injury, promised a flawless performance, saying, “Because I was so disappointed, I prepared by working even harder.” Drawing on the album title, Hwang Seong-bin added an ambitious goal: “Through this ‘HEAT’, I will become a ‘hitman’ who hits the public right in the heart.”

Meanwhile, 82MAJOR will celebrate its comeback with an exclusive live performance of its new songs at 8 p.m. on the 2nd at Cheonggye Plaza in Gwanghwamun, Seoul. The group plans to bring the new release’s energy to the heart of the city while performing up close with the public.
