SUNMI Shanghai Fan Meeting Canceled Four Days Before Event; Full Refunds Issued

Safety and performance quality nonnegotiable as scheduled event abruptly canceled

Singer 'SUNMI' has canceled her fan meeting in 'Shanghai', China, just four days before the event.

'Abyss Company' officially announced the cancellation through its official social media channels on the 1st. The agency said, "We determined that ensuring an environment where both the artist and fans could feel safe and enjoy themselves, as well as delivering the level of performance quality originally promised, had to be our top priorities." It added, "After extensive discussions with the local organizer, we had no choice but to cancel the event."

'SUNMI' had been scheduled to hold her solo fan meeting, 'Meet SUNMI in Late Summer', on the 5th at NEOVANA in Shanghai, China, where she planned to connect with local fans. But a combination of factors, including concerns over performance quality and safety, led to the disappointing cancellation.

'Abyss Company' added, "We sincerely apologize for delivering this sudden disappointing news to the fans who have supported us while looking forward to the fan meeting for so long." The agency said it would "explore new opportunities so that 'SUNMI' can meet her Shanghai fans again in a more thoroughly prepared environment."

Meanwhile, tickets that have already been purchased will be fully refunded through the local organizer and each official ticketing platform following the cancellation.
