The film 〈Seven O′Clock Breakfast Club for the Brokenhearted〉, starring Bae Suzy and Lee Jin-wook and directed by Im Seon-ae, will open in theaters in December, and has unveiled a poster and launch teaser. Com2uS N presents the film, while By4M Studio serves as co-presenter and distributor, and the film was produced with the participation of With Ace Studio, Com2uS N and Management SOOP.
The film 〈Seven O′Clock Breakfast Club for the Brokenhearted〉 follows flight attendant Sa-gang (Bae Suzy), who has been dumped but has not yet truly moved on, and consultant Ji-hoon (Lee Jin-wook). At a breakfast meeting for the brokenhearted, they accidentally swap a "breakup memento," discover its secret, set out to find its owner and, in the process, begin to truly say goodbye. The movie is based on Baek Young-ok’s novel of the same name, first published in 2012.
The poster and teaser trailer show Sa-gang and Ji-hoon bearing the sorrow and loss that follow their breakups, and capture how, in an unfamiliar breakfast meeting, they exchange breakup mementos and comfort each other’s wounds. Director Im Seon-ae, who directed 〈69 Years Old〉 and 〈End-of-Century Love〉, brings delicate emotional detail and a tightly structured story to the film.
Alongside Bae Suzy and Lee Jin-wook, actors Yoo Ji-tae and Geum Sae-rok also star in 〈Seven O′Clock Breakfast Club for the Brokenhearted〉, due in theaters in December.
