tvN’s ‘Four Hands’: Jang Gyu-ri draws attention with nuanced styling from age 17 to 27

Actress Jang Gyu-ri brings added vitality to her character in tvN’s weekend drama 〈Four Hands〉 (written by Shin Yi-won and directed by Park Hyun-seok), shifting between the styles of a 17-year-old student and a 27-year-old career woman. Her agency, Namoo Actors, released stills on the 29th showing how Jang’s styling changes with her character’s age.

〈Four Hands〉, co-produced by Studio Dragon, Studio N and Namoo Actors, is building toward its finale with the story reaching its climax. Jang plays Hong Jae-in, adding details such as a headband and braided hair to her school uniform during her time at Korea Arts High School to convey a lively, lovable charm.

After turning 27, however, she projects a more mature presence as the manager of her childhood friend Kang Bi-oh (Song Kang). Tweed jackets, shirts, a watch and ear cuffs help create a polished look that highlights her professionalism as a career woman. In an interview, Jang said, “Because she is working as a manager in her 20s, I wanted to give her a structured, polished look, using accessories such as a watch to emphasize her professionalism.”

As tensions deepen between Jeong Yo (Lee Jun-young) and Kang Bi-oh, viewers are watching to see how Hong Jae-in changes after finally moving on from her longtime unrequited love. tvN’s weekend drama 〈Four Hands〉, starring Jang Gyu-ri, Song Kang and Lee Jun-young, is scheduled to air its 11th episode on Oct. 3, followed by its finale on Oct. 4.
