Shin Min-a and Lee Jin-wook Reunite After 12 Years in Human Romance ‘Wed-Thu-Fri,’ Set for First Half of Next Year

A place for wounds to heal, where romance blooms at a restaurant open three days a week

Actors 'Shin Min-a' and 'Lee Jin-wook' will play former lovers who reunite after a breakup, bringing an emotionally rich story to the small screen.

MBC officially announced on the 5th that its new Friday-Saturday drama 'Wed-Thu-Fri', starring the two actors, will air in the first half of next year. 'Wed-Thu-Fri' is set at a restaurant of the same name that opens just three days a week—Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The human romance follows, in depth, the love, forgiveness and growth of the people who visit.

'Shin Min-a' will play Cha Eun-su, who returns to find her first love, whom she parted with 12 years ago, while hiding her true intentions. She is set to portray the complex inner life of the character with her signature subtle acting. 'Lee Jin-wook' will play Kim Dong-woo, the restaurant’s head chef, who has lived with memories of Cha Eun-su, his first love whom he failed to protect, and will deliver an intense romantic performance.

Joining them is 'Yoo Teo', who is active on the global stage. He will play Lee Won-pil, Cha Eun-su’s husband and an executive at a well-established construction company, adding further tension and drawing viewers deeper into the story.

The creative team is also impressive. Joo Hyun, whose sharp explorations of human psychology in the hit series 'The World of the Married' and 'Ms. Temper & Nam Jung-gi' earned widespread acclaim, wrote the script. Director Jung Dong-yoon, who demonstrated his exceptional visual style and directing skills with 'Stove League' and the 'Gyeongseong Creature' series, will helm the drama. Kang Eun-kyung, who successfully led every season of 'Baker King, Kim Tak-gu' and 'Dr. Romantic,' will also serve as creator, helping ensure the drama’s overall quality.
