Humanity's representative takes on an unfamiliar challenge, seeking ways to survive in the AI era

KBS2's new variety show 'Unemployed Lee Sedol' premieres on the 23rd. Lee Sedol, the former professional Go player who scored humanity's only victory over artificial intelligence (AI) program AlphaGo, is embarking on a new survival experiment 10 years after their historic match.

The program goes beyond a simple observational variety show. It closely follows Lee Sedol's struggle to find 'jobs AI cannot replace' in an era of increasingly advanced technology. The transformation of a competitor who once waged fierce battles of calculation on the Go board into a job seeker in the real world is expected to offer viewers both fresh catharsis and a weighty question about society.

Composer Jung Jae-hyung and comedian Jang Do-yeon will serve as observers and guides. With their signature insight and wit, the two will closely follow Lee Sedol's unfamiliar adjustment to life as a newcomer to the workforce. Producer Lee Myung-seop, who has demonstrated an original directing style on 'Hong Kim Dong-jeon' and 'Method Club', among other programs, is at the helm, further raising the show's overall quality.
