'La La Land' magic returns for 10th anniversary as six-time Oscar winner hits theaters next month

'City of Stars' echoes again, bringing back a decade of emotion

The six-time Oscar-winning romantic musical 'La La Land' will return to theaters on the 11th of next month to mark the 10th anniversary of its release. Pan Cinema, the film's distributor, announced the rerelease on the 12th and said the global sensation is expected to once again leave audiences with an unforgettable afterglow.

'La La Land' follows the passion and romance of 'Mia' (Emma Stone), an aspiring actress chasing her dreams, and 'Sebastian' (Ryan Gosling), a pianist determined to revive traditional jazz. Directed by Damien Chazelle, who demonstrated his extraordinary talent with 'Whiplash' and 'First Man', the film won acclaim from audiences and critics alike for its dazzling song-and-dance sequences and a story that deftly blends youthful romance with reality.

The film made history at the 89th Academy Awards in 2017, sweeping six categories, including Best Actress for Emma Stone, as well as director, production design, cinematography, original score and original song. It also proved enormously popular in South Korea, drawing more than 3 million moviegoers during its theatrical run. Its soundtrack, particularly 'City of Stars', remains widely beloved as a modern classic.

Experts say the 10th-anniversary rerelease will offer more than a simple return for a classic. They describe it as a special opportunity for audiences across generations to experience its enduring emotion once again through the immersive sound and striking visuals of the big screen.
