〈Project Y〉 has won the BEST FILM IN COMPETITION at the 10th London Asian Film Festival (LEAFF). The film, which tells the story of Mi-sun and Do-kyung, who had nothing but each other, as they steal hidden black money and gold bars to escape their harsh reality, has once again been recognized for its artistic value on the global stage by winning the BEST FILM IN COMPETITION at the 10th London Asian Film Festival.

The London Asian Film Festival, which opened on October 23, is a representative Asian film festival in Europe that introduces creative and challenging works from various Asian countries, including Korea, and this year, a total of 45 films were screened. Among them, 〈Project Y〉 was invited to the competition section, which featured only 8 films, including Director Seo Gi's 〈Girl〉 and Director Ha Jung-woo's 〈Neighbors〉, and won the top prize. The festival organizers praised, "〈Project Y〉 is a work that boldly expands the horizons of contemporary neo-noir cinema. It has shown the new possibilities of Asian cinema with its power to deconstruct the conventions of the traditional noir genre and its excellent directorial skills." Director Lee Hwan, who attended the event in the UK and met the audience directly, expressed his gratitude, saying, "I am very happy that 〈Project Y〉 is being screened at the London Asian Film Festival following the Toronto, Busan, and Hawaii International Film Festivals, and it is an honor to receive this award. I hope more audiences will meet 〈Project Y〉 in theaters and complete the film with their own perspectives."

Even before its release, 〈Project Y〉 garnered international attention by being invited to the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), and through winning the Best Film in Competition at this London Asian Film Festival, it has once again proven its outstanding quality. In particular, the intense acting ensemble of strong characters such as Han So-hee, Jeon Jong-seo, Kim Shin-rok, Jung Young-joo, Lee Jae-kyun, Yoo Ah, and Kim Sung-cheol, along with the meticulous development and breathtaking immersion, has heightened the expectations of domestic audiences. The film 〈Project Y〉, which won the Best Film in Competition at the 10th London Asian Film Festival, will soon meet domestic audiences.
