SBS's Friday-Saturday drama 〈Wooju Merry Me〉 concluded with a happy ending as Choi Woo-shik and Jung So-min's characters got married for real, achieving a viewership rating in the 9% range.
According to the ratings survey company 'Nielsen Korea' on the 16th, the viewership rating for the final episode (Episode 12) of 〈Wooju Merry Me〉 aired the previous day recorded 9.1% nationwide.
In the final episode, the relationship between Kim Woo-ju (played by Choi Woo-shik) and Yu Merry (played by Jung So-min), which began as a marriage of convenience, developed into true love. Yu Merry's former fiancé, who shares the same name, Kim Woo-ju (played by Seo Beom-jun), planned a press conference to expose their sham marriage, but it was thwarted by the intervention of Botte Department Store.
Afterward, Merry submitted annulment papers to her former fiancé and decided to start anew, giving up the townhouse she won as a prize. The biggest obstacle for Woo-ju and Merry, who began their love, was Woo-ju's grandmother, Go Pil-nyeon (played by Jung Ae-ri), but after heartfelt persuasion from her grandson, she allowed the marriage, and Woo-ju proposed to Merry with a jade ring given by his grandmother.
〈Wooju Merry Me〉 was praised for showcasing the chemistry between Choi Woo-shik and Jung So-min, who have strengths in the romantic comedy genre. The viewership rating, which started in the 5% range during its first broadcast, surpassed 9% within just 12 episodes, showing an upward trend.
The follow-up to this drama will be 〈Model Taxi 3〉, starring Lee Je-hoon.
