A political drama featuring South Korea's representative actors will be released.

Scheduled to air in the first half of 2026, the Genie TV original 〈Climax〉 is a fierce survival drama of prosecutor Bang Tae-seob, who jumps into the power cartel to stand at the top of South Korea, and those surrounding him. Produced by Hive Media Corp, which has consistently presented works with both artistic quality and box office success such as 〈The Spring of Seoul〉, 〈The Insider〉, 〈The Chief of Namsan〉, 〈Deliver Us from Evil〉, and 〈The Opposition〉, the drama marks the directorial debut of Lee Ji-won, who swept rookie director awards at the Baeksang Arts Awards with the film 〈Miss Baek〉. Ju Ji-hoon, Ha Ji-won, Nana, Oh Jung-se, and Cha Joo-young have joined the cast, making it a highly anticipated work for the first half of the year.

First, Ju Ji-hoon plays the role of Bang Tae-seob, who becomes a star prosecutor after marrying the best actress in South Korea (Ha Ji-won). Ha Ji-won takes on the role of Choo Sang-ah, who was once the best actress but is now treated as a has-been after marriage. Nana plays the role of Hwang Jung-won, who secretly acts as an informant beside Bang Tae-seob. Hwang Jung-won holds the key to the Pandora's box that will reveal the ugly side of the power cartel in 〈Climax〉.

Meanwhile, Cha Joo-young takes on the role of Lee Yang-mi, the second wife of the chairman of WR Group, the third-largest conglomerate in South Korea. Cha Joo-young will return with a strong image transformation, appearing as a power figure that shakes the Bang Tae-seob & Choo Sang-ah couple and drives the tension of the drama. Oh Jung-se plays the role of Kwon Jong-wook, the eldest son who competes with Lee Yang-mi for the position of heir to WR Group.

〈Climax〉 will be released through Genie TV in 2026 and will be broadcast as an ENA Monday-Tuesday drama.
