Shin Ha-kyun, Oh Jung-se, and Heo Sung-tae Become Three Men Who Once Had It All.. MBC 'FIFTIES PROFESSIONALS' Set to Air in the First Half of 2026

Shin Ha-kyun, Oh Jung-se, and Heo Sung-tae come together for a drama.

On the 11th, MBC drama 〈FIFTIES PROFESSIONALS〉 confirmed its first broadcast in the first half of 2026 and revealed the casting lineup of Shin Ha-kyun, Oh Jung-se, and Heo Sung-tae. 〈FIFTIES PROFESSIONALS〉 tells the story of three men who seem ordinary but once had it all, who are moved by fate once again. Despite being ground down by the world and their bodies rusting, they are true professionals who have run 50% of their lives with loyalty and instinct. The drama will humorously depict the story of three men who were at the top of their game but were relegated to the remote island of Yeongseondo after 'the incident of that day', as they search for the 'truth of that day' that has been on hold for ten years.

Shin Ha-kyun plays 'Jung Ho-myung', a former number one black agent of the National Intelligence Service. Framed and leaving the NIS, Ho-myung disguises his identity and works as a successful chef at a restaurant while chasing the 'item' that made him this way. Oh Jung-se takes on the role of 'Bong Je-soon', a North Korean special operative who has lost his memory. Je-soon was once the best human weapon in North Korea, known as 'Bulgae', but after an unexpected accident during a mission, he ends up on Yeongseondo. He suffers from confusion about his identity and harassment from his boss while trying to regain his lost memories. Meanwhile, Heo Sung-tae plays 'Kang Beom-ryong', who went from being a legendary gangster to a convenience store owner. Beom-ryong was the second-in-command of the Hwasan faction, but after an incident caused the organization to collapse, he comes to Yeongseondo to seek revenge on the 'item' and Ho-myung, while taking care of his older brother in prison, with grand plans to restore everything to its original state.

The drama 〈FIFTIES PROFESSIONALS〉 is directed by Han Dong-hwa, who has worked on the 〈Bad Guys〉 series, 〈38 Task Force〉, 〈Navillera〉, and 〈Criminal Records〉 series. It is set to air in the first half of 2026.
