'Informant', Winner of Best Foreign Language Film at the 2025 Asia International Film Festival

The film 〈Informant〉 won the Best Foreign Language Film award at the 2025 Asia International Film Festival (Asia International Film Festival 2025, AIFF) held in Macau.

The film 〈Informant〉 is a crime action comedy about a former ace detective, Oh Nam-hyuk (Heo Sung-tae), who has lost his passion, will, and investigative sense after being demoted, and an informant, Jo Tae-bong (Jo Bok-rae), who has been making easy money by providing information on major cases, accidentally getting involved in a big scheme.

On the 27th, the Asia International Film Festival announced that the film 〈Informant〉 was selected for the Best Foreign Language Film award. In response, the producer of 〈Informant〉, Han Seong-gu, expressed, "Heo Sung-tae, Jo Bok-rae, Seo Min-joo, and Director Kim Seok are all genuinely happy to hear this news. We are grateful for the recognition we have received overseas, starting with the opening film of the 24th New York Asian Film Festival, followed by the official invitation to the Cinema Now section of the London Korean Film Festival, and now this award at the Asia International Film Festival for Best Foreign Language Film before our domestic release."

The film 〈Informant〉, which announced the news of winning the Best Foreign Language Film award at the Asia International Film Festival, will be released on December 3.
