〈Little Amelie〉 is a vibrant animation that depicts the moments of the quirky girl 'Amelie', who believed herself to be a 'god' since birth, as she faces the four seasons of the world and grows up. Having been officially invited to the Special Screenings section of the 78th Cannes Film Festival and winning the Audience Award in the feature film category at the 49th Annecy International Animation Film Festival, 〈Little Amelie〉 recently took a step towards the Oscars by winning the Animation Award at the 51st LA Critics Association Awards.
The LA Critics Association Awards is a prestigious ceremony known as one of the four major critics' awards in North America, along with the National Society of Film Critics Awards, New York Film Critics Circle Awards, and Chicago Film Critics Association Awards. 〈Little Amelie〉 caught attention by grabbing the trophy, beating the globally popular Netflix original animation 〈K-Pop Demon Hunters〉. As proof of this global attention, the film has also been nominated for the Best Animated Feature at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards, which will be announced on December 8 (Monday), standing out among major animations like 〈K-Pop Demon Hunters〉, 〈Zootopia 2〉, and 〈Elio〉.
The highly talked-about film 〈Little Amelie〉 is set to be released in Korea in January 2026.
