The World Baseball Classic (WBC) is undoubtedly the world's premier baseball national competition, a festival that captures the attention of baseball fans worldwide. In South Korea, the strong popularity of the KBO League, along with fans eagerly anticipating the resurgence of Korean baseball on the international stage, creates a heated atmosphere. The '2026 World Baseball Classic' will be held from March 5 to 17 next year in Japan, the United States, and Puerto Rico, and the South Korean national team is expected to showcase a new generation of players and demonstrate their fierce fighting spirit.

The previously announced roster for the first training camp includes seasoned veterans like Ryu Hyun-jin and Noh Kyung-eun, along with promising young players born in the 2000s such as Ahn Hyun-min, Kim Do-young, Moon Dong-joo, and Jung Woo-joo, garnering intense interest from baseball fans. This newly combined national team will finalize their preparations through evaluation matches against the Hanshin Tigers on March 2 and the Orix Buffaloes on March 3 before heading into the main tournament.
