Studio C1, Ignoring Court's Injunction Decision on 'Fire Baseball', Pushes Ahead with Season 2... Full-scale Conflict with JTBC

Production company Studio C1 is pushing ahead with the production of Season 2 of the YouTube baseball entertainment program 〈Fire Baseball〉, despite the court's injunction decision.

On the 29th, Studio C1 officially announced through its YouTube channel that "the production of 〈Fire Baseball〉 Season 2 has been confirmed." This is a direct defiance of the production and transmission ban injunction decision made by the 60th Civil Division of the Seoul Central District Court on the 19th.

Previously, the court accepted JTBC's request and issued an injunction prohibiting the production and transmission of existing 〈Fire Baseball〉 video materials and any video materials that follow in a continuous form.

In response, Studio C1 stated, "The injunction decision is only a provisional judgment regarding this season's broadcast video materials," and made it clear that "it is not a final ruling by the court." The company is arguing that the production of a new season is possible.

〈Fire Baseball〉 is a baseball entertainment content presented on the YouTube platform by Studio C1, led by PD Jang Si-won. PD Jang is a figure who laid the foundation for the program by directing 〈Strong Baseball〉 Seasons 1 to 3 at JTBC in the past.

However, as the relationship with the broadcasting company deteriorated, an independent content 〈Fire Baseball〉 was launched in May this year, featuring a large number of the original cast from 〈Strong Baseball〉. This move immediately led to legal disputes with JTBC.

The conflict between the two sides is currently unfolding in court battles. The court partially accepted JTBC's request for an injunction against unfair competition, and Studio C1 has submitted an objection to the injunction.

Meanwhile, JTBC has stated that it will continue to pursue additional legal responses, including claims for damages, even after the injunction decision. The legal dispute between the two sides is expected to continue in the future.
